2 way synchronisation in Entity Framework is not all its cracked up to be

I generated a pretty straightforward schema in the EF designer & generated the SQL.  If I refresh the model from the DB it throws errors along the lines of:

Condition cannot be specified for Column member <member name> because it is marked with a ‘Computed’ or ‘Identity’ StoreGeneratedPattern.

What’s that about?  I now need to make any changes manually in both EF & the DB.  What a pain!

  1. Seems to be a problem in Refresh.
    I got the same problem and the only solution I found is to delete your model and re-create it.
